Rev. Gilberto Rodriguez, S.T. to Receive 2011 NCDC Good Samaritan Award
NCDC is proud to announce that Rev. Gilberto Rodriguez, S.T. of The Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity (NCDC Active Member), will receive the 2011 NCDC Good Samaritan Award.
The Good Samaritan Award was established in 1968 to recognize those who exemplify concern for others through exceptional service. Nominees must have a life of service that is an outstanding example of the Gospel message, as manifested by the Parable of the Good Samaritan. The nominee’s service has also made a significant impact on the lives of the persons in need and must be actively engaged or recently associated with such services.
Fr. Gilberto, a missionary of The Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity, has served poor and marginalized communities in Colombia and Mexico for the past decade. Stationed in the Guamal, Colombia, he most recently developed a Bicycle Program in Guamal, which provides neccessary transportation for many impoverished children to attend school. Fr. Gilberto has also developed a long-term food program for the poor which was intiated by the devastation caused by torrential rains and flooding.

Tips for Successfully Participating in an NCDC Webinar
- You will need to have Microsoft Live Meeting installed on your computer. Please test your system prior to the meeting. If you are unable to do so or do not wish to install the software, you may still attend by using the Web Console option which does not install any software to your system or require administrator permission. Just scroll down on the installation page for this option.
- Make sure everybody can see the screen.
- We recommend using speakerphone, even if you are the only person from your office participating. Test out your speakerphone to make sure you can hear callers.
For larger groups
- Use a projector and screen so everyone can view the presentation.
- Make sure everyone will be able to hear the speakerphone. Don’t forget to account for background noise- the more people in the room, the harder it will be to hear the presenter through a phone speaker. ...
