This hands-on workshop will provide you with an opportunity to have your printed works critiqued by experienced writers. In addition, you will learn how to write a quality story that can be tailor-fit for various outlets such as appeals, press releases, websites and more. Leading Up When Times Are Down

These are critical times for all, but perhaps even more so for leaders. "Lleading up from below" is essential to any recovery process. This session will offer sound advice that leaders need to know or about which they should be reminded. Learn how your role as a leader is crucial in terms of some of the current issues facing us all, including avoiding the overwhelming "panic mode" and how to continue making strategic decisions and alternative planning.
Seminar on ePhilanthropy (Parts 1 and 2)

Created to address the #1 request from 2008 Conference attendees, this 4.5-hour intensive seminar will delve into the world of electronic fundraising. What is e-philanthropy and how is it different than traditional fundraising methods? Topics to be addressed will include:
- Building the capacity to do effective e-philanthropy
- Social networking and how to engage others in your mission
- Building and maintaining donor relationships online and virtual donor communities
- Managing online giving
- Understanding who is giving online
